The moment that you left me, my heart was split in two;
One side was filled with memories; the other side died with you.
Remembering you is easy, I do it everyday ,
But missing you is a heartache that never goes away .
I didn't know that morning the pain that day would bring ,
When a golden heart stopped beating and I couldn't do a thing .
No words can heal the heartache or stop a silent tear ,
Or take away the memories of one I loved so dear .
Your resting place I'll visit, the flowers I place with care ,
But nothing compares to the pain I feel ,
When I'll turn and leave you there..........
