Dreaming about the ocean
I’m standing on a rock
Watching an unstoppable force
A force I will never understand nor control

Destructive waves crashing repeatedly on the shore
Destroying everything in it’s path
Growing bigger and bigger
Tearing me apart
Untill I have nothing left

I have to run
I can only run
Hoping to find a safe place
A place where I can belong

I can’t run forever
As my last power of will fades away
I surrender myself to the sea
Diving into my darkest moments

As the waves consume me
I see beyond them
A look into the depth
The bottom of my deepest fears

Getting consumed by darkness and despair
I see a bright glimpse
The sun rising from the horizon
A bright horizon that never ends

We tend to run away from our darkest moments
We know what went wrong
We forget what can go right
