How it hurts to miss someone

Her heart was shattered in pieces
no one knew she was struggling
To keep her sanity
To keep everything in place
Just like how it was when he was with her
Afraid that if she didn't,
Everything would change too much.
She couldn't forget and she wouldn't let go.

Every morning she lost her mind
For a minute, an hour or maybe even a day...
It depends on what she had dreamed at night
Did he come by? And if so,
Did he say goodbye once again...?
And although tears filled her eyes she was happy she had seen him, even if it wasn't in reality
She missed him and with every minute passing by, hope was fading....

She's trying to stay strong
Yet it was getting harder,
Harder to keep her sanity
Harder to keep moving on
Cause he was in her dreams,
Every day, every night....
Holding her, looking in her eyes.
And everytime she woke up,
Her heart lost a beat....
