Train of Life

Mechelina van Tilborgh

Chugga chugga goes the train engine loud
Whistle blows loud cutting through the crowd
Different people boarding around
Rushing fast no slowing down allowed
Life don't stand still it’s just passing through
Till the end station of me and you

Passengers change like shadows in the night
Some stay close some fade out of sight
We stay together till journey's end
We share a glance then part again
Stories entwined in the dimming lights
Life's a puzzle of wrongs and rights

Forgotten faces and broken dreams
Linger like fog in moonlit beams
Whispering memories like distant streams
Life goes on, or so it seems
Tracks of time they twist and turn
Lessons learned and bridges burned

From one platform to the next we ride
In every heart we meet a world inside
Conversations come and fade away
Different faces every day
Yet somehow we're all in the same game
But on this train of life is no one the same

Ohh, the train of life
The train of life keeps rolling fast
Moments we hold they never last
Stop and stare but don't delay
Minutes fly by in a blink of day
Train of life goes on it rushes by
People get on and say goodbye
Swipe your ticket let come what may
On this wild ride till we fade away
