A cold night in september
I danced with you all day
lifted you up
I let my feet go
and carry you away
I held you so tight
we danced and enjoyed
till late in the night
with my arms still around you
I whispered I love you I swear I do
I never let you go
because you let my heart glow
it was truly a night to never forget
we fell asleep in each other’s arms
and the alarm was set
the next morning the sun and the alarm woke me
and when I opened my eyes I could see
an cold and empty
space next to me
then I remember
it was just a dream
