The Love I Carry

The Love I Carry
I was not made of simple things,
not just laughter, not just light—
I was shaped by silent storms,
and taught to stand through every night.
I learned to smile with heavy eyes,
to speak with kindness, hide the pain,
to hold the world inside my chest,
while dancing softly in the rain.
They never saw the tears I cried
when no one else was there to see,
the quiet prayers, the breaking nights,
the war that lived inside of me.
And still… I loved.
I loved in ways that had no bounds,
in gentle words, in warm embrace,
I felt their hurt before they spoke,
saw every shadow on their face.
Strangers came and told their pain,
as if my soul was meant to hear—
I held their hearts like fragile glass,
and wiped away each hidden tear.
But who holds the one who always gives?
Who sees the soul behind the smile?
Who feels the weight of caring hearts
that carry others all the while?
I broke…
not loudly, not for all to see,
but deep inside where silence stays—
in shattered dreams, in missing love,
in long and endless aching days.
I lost the ones who were my home,
their voices echo in my mind,
and though the world keeps moving on,
I’m standing still in moments left behind.
And yet… I love.
I love through cracks, through every scar,
through all the things that made me fall,
for even broken, even tired—
my heart still answers every call.
Because love like mine was never weak,
it’s something stronger than the pain,
a quiet fire that never dies,
a soul that rises once again.
So if you see me, really look—
not just the smile I choose to wear,
but at the light within my chest…
still glowing softly, always there.
For I am proof that even hearts
that shatter, ache, and fall apart—
can still hold love so pure, so deep…
they heal the world
just by their heart. ?✨
